The electrical system, including the motors, battery, and control electronics, incorporates environmental protections intended to help withstand exposure to dust, dirt, and water encountered during normal operation. The product also underwent environmental and durability testing as part of its safety and compliance program. Additionally, the battery system is designed in accordance with applicable battery safety standards, including UL 2271, which addresses the safety of rechargeable battery systems used in light electric vehicles and similar mobility products.
Like any outdoor mobility product, regular inspection and maintenance are recommended, particularly after use in sandy, dusty, muddy, or wet environments. Excessive accumulation of sand, dirt, or debris should be removed periodically to help maintain optimal performance and longevity.
While Ellavate is designed to operate in a wide range of outdoor conditions and incorporates an IP55-rated electrical system, it is not intended for submersion in water or operation in conditions beyond those described in the user manual.
